Doula services
I’ve always been captivated by birth, babies, and the incredible transformation that happens when women give birth. For years, I carried the quiet dream of training as a midwife, and that calling never really left me. So when I became pregnant myself, I was determined to shape my own experience — to approach birth with positivity and trust rather than fear. I threw myself into learning all I could about pregnancy, and it quickly became a true passion. I also hired a doula, to have the extra support, but also because in the back of my mind, I knew that instead of midwifery, it was a doula I was destined to be!
So often, birth is shown in a negative light on TV or spoken about as something to dread. I had heard plenty of those stories, too. But deep down I knew: No, that doesn’t have to be my story. I wanted to feel supported, safe, truly seen and heard. I also came to see how vital support is in balancing the medical system — which, while at times necessary, can very often make women feel as though they can’t fully trust their own bodies. Having someone beside me who believed in me made all the difference.
Now, it brings me such joy to offer that same support to others — to walk alongside women and birthing people through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. This work is not just about holding hands during labor, but about creating a calm, supportive space where you feel grounded, heard, and empowered in your choices. I support the wide range of birthing experiences — home birth, hospital birth, or planned Caesarean. What matters most is that you feel supported in every choice you make.
A woman never forgets how she was treated during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. These moments stay with us, shaping how we feel about ourselves and our journey into parenthood. My aim as a doula is to offer steady presence, tenderness, and practical support, so you feel nurtured every step of the way.
I’ve created several packages to meet different needs, whether you’re looking for birth support, postpartum care, or simply someone to talk things through with as you prepare for this new chapter.
✨ Have a look below at what I offer, and please don’t hesitate to reach out for a friendly chat — there’s absolutely no obligation to go any further than that. I believe there is the right doula for everyone and it’s about finding a real connection with the couple too, so it’s gotta feel right, and that’s just the way it is!
Postpartum Doula Support
At this time, due to my own availability I am only offering postpartum doula support — gentle, practical, and nurturing care for you and your family in the early weeks and months after birth.
This time together is all about supporting you and your family in whatever way you most need on the day. During our sessions, I can:
Help with the everyday home tasks that make a big difference — cooking, tidying, changing beds, playing with other children.
Batch cook nourishing meals to help you rest and recover from birth
Offer a listening ear and safe space to debrief your birth experience, honouring whatever feelings are present and come up for you on this.
Provide hands-on healing and nurturing bodywork to help you reconnect with your body and ground yourself in this new chapter.
I recommend sessions of around 3 hours, allowing time for meaningful support without rush or pressure. I also recommend (if possible for you financially) to
💛 £20 per hour
I recommend, if it feels manageable for you financially, booking a block of sessions over a few weeks to really feel the benefit of the consistent and practical support a postpartum doula can provide in those early days.
For example, a typical timeframe might be one 3-hour visit each week for six weeks — a nourishing stretch of care and continuity during your postpartum time.
At £20 per hour, this works out as:
£60 per visit × 6 weeks = £360 in total
Of course, every family’s needs and circumstances are unique — we can shape the timing and frequency of visits to suit you best. Please also get in touch if money is a barrier to having some necessary care, as this is something we can figure out together.
I am based in Belfast, BT4, but happy to travel 30 mins each direction, depending on your address.
Every visit is unique and led by you and your individual needs on that day.
